GOOD LUCK PAINTINGS
An ongoing series of good will and whimsy since 2007
Artist Statement

I created my first Good Luck painting around 2007. I don't know exactly why I painted it. I had just purchased a lot of large stretched canvases and I was faced with blank canvas after blank canvas staring at me from all sides of my painting studio. When I have a painting idea, I like to give myself permission to try it, nothing is off limits. And so, once conceived, it had to be made. The funny thing about it was that not long after, several paintings of mine were sourced by art consultants Daniel Fine Art (Orange County) for the new Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas. I'm told that large prints of the first Good Luck Painting hung (may still hang?) in the "high roller suites." Have you been there? Send me a picture.
I've found myself revisiting the Good Luck theme again in recent years. We're living through bleak times. I love that these works make a person smile and perhaps even give them hope. I make all of my work with a strong intention of goodwill and hope that my work will bring good things into people's lives. With this series, I make that intention even more explicit. Good luck!
